End of Year Farewells and Class BBQ

At the close of the year it was appropriate to recognise our achievements during the year. In particular heartfelt thanks went to Tracey for her dedication and determination in seeing the class open at the start of this year. Tracey and her family will be leaving for the UK shortly and she will be greatly missed.

Neville Johnson, Principal of Matakana School was also acknowleged for his support and the trust gave him a lovely Magnolia tree. Neville will be retiring at the end of this year and MMPT wishes him and his family all the best.

Jane received a gift basket from the Trust and the children were delighted to give her their artwork (see below) as a thank you for her dedication and hard work during this year.

The class is sad to be seeing two children leave at the end of this year Rosie will be going to Auckland and Ellie is off to the UK. They were presented with a scrapbook of their years activities from Jane, and a photo album from the Trust as a momentum of their time in Room 15.

Hamburgers were on the menu for lunch and everyone enjoyed a great time eating and socialising. Happy holidays everyone!
